Yesterday afternoon, Xiaomi announced its latest affordable smartphone, the POCO C65. Given its low price, it is evident that the phone won’t excel in anything. However, it doesn’t fall short in any major aspect for most users, especially when considering its price compared to other devices that do stand out in various aspects.

Despite its low price, the POCO C65 has a decent display – a 6.74-inch IPS panel with HD+ resolution of 1600×720 pixels at 90Hz. This panel reaches a maximum brightness of 600 nits and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass with a waterdrop-shaped notch.
The display runs smoothly with the MediaTek Helio G85 chipset. Manufactured by TSMC using 12nm lithography, it features an 8-core configuration, including 2x Cortex-A75 @ 2.00 GHz and 6x Cortex-A55 @ 1.80 GHz. It also has an ARM Mali-G52 MC2 GPU, 6 or 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and 128 or 256 GB of eMMC 5.1 storage. Interestingly, it allows storage expansion with a microSD card up to 1 TB capacity.
The POCO C65 measures 168 x 78 x 8.09 mm and weighs 192 grams, accommodating a 5,000 mAh capacity battery. It supports 18W fast charging, but the included charger is limited to 10W.
As for the camera, the POCO C65 offers a 50MP main sensor, a 2MP macro sensor, and an auxiliary sensor. Photos will be pleasing for a device in this category, but video recording is limited to 1080p at 30 FPS. It also has an 8MP selfie camera.
The POCO C65 features NFC, Dual SIM 4G LTE, WiFi 5 + Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou positioning, USB-C port, headphone jack, FM Radio, and a side fingerprint reader for enhanced security. It runs on MIUI 14 Android software.
Available in black, blue, and purple, the POCO C65 is on sale for 129.99 euros until November 27, after which the price will rise to 149 euros for the 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage model. The POCO C65 with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage is available for 149.99 euros, and after the offer, its price will increase to 169 euros.
