Thermalright has announced its new high-end CPU cooling system, the AXP90-X53 FULL, designed specifically for compact systems. This cooler features compact dimensions of 94.5 x 95 x 53 mm and is constructed entirely of C-1100 copper to provide efficient cooling.
The Thermalright AXP90-X53 FULL is similar to the original ‘non-FULL’ model but replaces the aluminum radiator with a copper one. This change drastically increases its heat dissipation power, as well as its weight and price. The cooler now has a copper radiator, copper heat pipes, and a copper base. The only non-copper components are the mounting brackets and the fan itself.
Here are the specifications of the copper version of the Thermalright AXP90-X53 FULL:
The most significant difference between the original Thermalright AXP90-X53 and the copper model is its weight. The aluminum version weighs 360 grams, while the copper version reaches 600 grams (540 grams without the fan). The radiator consists of 54 copper fins separated by 0.5 mm thick channels, with four 6 mm thick copper heat pipes running through it. These pipes lead to a generous copper base that maintains direct contact with the CPU using thermal compound.
The radiator is cooled by a Thermalright TL-9015 fan, a 92 mm PWM fan with a thickness of 15 mm. This fan can reach a maximum speed of 2,700 RPM, producing an airflow of up to 42.58 CFM and a static pressure of 1.33 mmH2O with a noise level of 22.4 dBA.
In terms of CPU support, the cooler is compatible with all modern CPUs, including Intel LGA1700, LGA1200, LGA115X, and AMD AM5 and AM4 processors. The most intriguing aspect, its price, has not been announced. As a reference, the original aluminum model was released with a price tag of around 48 euros, so the copper version will undoubtedly be more expensive.
However, the company has not provided any information on the performance improvements offered by this copper version. We will have to wait for the first reviews to determine whether the price increase is justified, but it’s likely to reach three digits without any issues.
